VALERIA DENTRO E FUORI (Valerie Inside Outside - 1972) - Here’s an ultra-rare slice of Italian sexploitation from director Brunello Rondi starring many of the same cast members from his later classic, MASTER OF LOVE. Barbara Bouchet, Barbara Betti, Rosemarie Lindt and Erna Schurer take turns disrobing for the camera’s loving lense. In this erotic thriller, Bouchet stars as the frustrated wife of a world-renowned choreographer who refuses to have sex with her for fear of getter her pregnant. She wants one; he doesn’t. She ends up in an asylum full of intense characters, played by Betti, Lindt and Schurer. With more nudity than could possibly make sense in the context of the plot, this lost classic of Eurosploitation will satisfy fans of the genre and the four leading ladies. MASTER OF LOVE (Racconti Proibiti . . . di Nieste Vestiti – 1972) – Italian exploitation director Brunello Rondi hits a home run in this veritable eye candy feast which features a cast that will make euro-starlet fans drool! Barbara Bouchet, Tine Aumont, Janet Agren and Karin Schubert are top-billed; however, Silvia Monti, Monica Strebel and Magali Noel also make appearances in this episodic Decameron-style sexy comedy. Oh, by the way, Rossano Brazzi is the star! Brazzi and young Enzo Cerusico travel the Italian countryside in pre-Medieval times, running afoul of the church and the law while bedding every wench in site. Bouchet character has some severe Catholic guilt issues and her segment is one of the best. It played in American drive-ins throughout the 1970's and is commonly available on video today! The sequel, SEX WITH A SMILE 2, also directed by Martino, was barely released even in Europe. It stars Ursula Andress, Barbara Bouchet and Annabella Incontrera and features all of the elements that made the first film a huge success (tons of nudity but no appearance from Marty Feldman!) LA CALANDRIA (1972) features a rare co-starring turn from Italian starlets Agostina Belli and Barbara Bouchet and both have many great scenes, particularly Belli, who spends most of the film in and out of bed and bath with Lando Buzzanca! Released (somewhere outside the USA) in 1972 and directed by Pasquale Festa Campanile, this rarer-than-rare Italian sexy comedy stars Buzzanca on the run after bedding a duchess portrayed by Bouchet. This is their last time together in a multi-episode film and perhaps the best of the lot. The three vignettes include SABATO, which features Fenech in and out of see-through Oriental wardrobe as well as co-starring turns from Lino Banfi, Daniela Vargas and Lory Del Santo.
